Need training for your dog but want an expert to get you there? Get on the right track & move forward with a solid foundation with our customized immersive Board & Train Program. All Breed Dog Obedience will help guide you, and your dog, to training that works while turning you into the best handler for your unique dog. For qualified pets & owners, we offer an opportunity for our fully immersive Board & Train program where your dog lives & trains with Owner/Head Trainer Holly Leas.

This program is for one or more weeks of training, and only 1 dog is in the Board & Train program at a time. The dog will live in home with our head trainer in order to recreate the stumbling blocks to training in the day-to-day routine. This is not just training for 20 minutes per day, but full integration training. Dogs will be out training all day, but will need to sleep in a crate at night. The Basic obedience curriculum taught in the week stay will include heeling on a loose leash, auto-sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay, the ‘leave-it’ command, and the start of the recall(Come Command). Additional training work will be done on behaviors such as: Pulling, Jumping, Nipping, Barking, Whining, Digging, Counter-surfing, crate training, resource guarding, and building patience & tolerance in all situations. The dog will attend 10 obedience classes during this week, as well as work in public spaces. Specific behavioral issues called out by the owner will also be addressed within this week of training.

Individual Board & Train candidates are evaluated first by questionnaire, followed by a phone evaluation with owner/trainer Holly Leas. Confirmed Board & Train candidates will then be booked into the schedule. Upon completion of the dog’s stay, the dog will be delivered to your home and you must allow for a 3-hour comprehensive training (specifically for the owner/handler). The week will be discussed, Holly will work your dog, then assist all family members as they work the dog. We want to ensure all your questions are answered, and the transition back home is as smooth as possible. To maintain the board and train learning, 3 group classes are included in the B & T package, allowing for you to successfully handle your newly trained dog. Transportation costs will apply outside of the Des Moines area.
