What equipment do I need?

  • DO NOT PURCHASE A TRAINING COLLAR UNTIL YOU HAVE CONSULTED YOUR TRAINER. Bring the Leash and Collar you currently own, if a change in equipment is needed we have equipment available for purchase before/after class. We do NOT fit outside equipment.
  • Collar: Training collars used in our classes range from flat, nylon collars to smooth chain collars or prong collars. It is the decision of the client, which collar they would prefer to use for training. We will not fit outside equipment, and we do not allow head halters or flexi-leashes in our classes.
  • Leash: A 6-foot leash is required and should be weight appropriate for the size of the dog & flexible for the handler to use with ease. We recommend training leashes we have for purchase at class; this includes bridle leather, softened leather or BioThane. Training equipment such as collars and leashes are available for purchase at classes.
  • Vaccinations: It is required to provide proof of all necessary vaccinations for the age of the dog at registration. We also require current Rabies & Bordetella at all times.
  • Poo Bags: It is the responsibility of the pet owner to immediately clean up after their dog at any time. Please have poo bags on hand. We have additional cleaning products as necessary.
  • No Treats: Please keep food/treats in the car as an after-class reward. We do not use food in this class unless specific to training focus techniques or in advanced classes.
